Residents in the East have another halal ice cream joint to hang out at in Bedok.
The recently halal-certified ice cream cafe, called Smitten Ice Cream Bar, opens till 1am every weekend, making this a sweet option for those of you who enjoys late night pick-me-ups.
18 ice-cream flavours (starting from S$3.80/scoop)
The shop announced their halal certification status recently on social media.
To celebrate the milestone, they are giving away one scoop of ice cream as long as you follow the instructions in the post below.
According to the cafe, they offer ice-cream in 18 different flavours. Here are some of the flavours we spotted:
Mexican Vanilla
Black Sesame
Mint Chocolate
Salted Caramel Almond
Refreshing Lychee
Artisan Chocolate
Speculoos
Young Coconut
Hazelnut Cookie Dough
Tropical Soursop
Thai Milk Tea
The ice cream costs S$3.80 for a single scoop and S$7.20 for a double scoop.
Premium flavours will cost an additional S$0.60, whilst connoisseur flavours go for an extra S$1.20.
Munchies to go with ice-cream
Smitten Ice Cream Bar also allows customers to pair their ice-cream with a selection of baked goods.
These include:
Roti Sandwich (+S$0.50)
Gourmet Cone (+S$1.20)
Crispy Croissant (+S$3.80)
Heavenly Brownie (+S$4.80)
Signature Waffle (+S$4.80)
Their buttermilk waffle seems to be quite a popular choice, judging from numerous photos of the pancakes with abs on social media.
Recently, they’ve also added a new baked-to-order item on the menu called the ‘Croffles’ (S$5.40), which they described as “a special pastry that’s crisp and fragrant on the outside like a top-class croissant, yet soft, light and fluff on the inside like a delightful piece of waffle.”
